  3. Incise. Scalpel through skin and membrane, finger in, bougie down, tube over the bougie.
  4. Ventilate. Inflate the cuff, attach the BVM or a test lung and confirm placement.
  5. Reset. Pull the rings, swap the skin, and the next learner is up in under a minute.

Questions

What is the INCISA FN-1?

A reusable surgical cricothyrotomy (front-of-neck access) task trainer. A soft TPU larynx and trachea sit under a replaceable skin, so learners can find the landmarks by feel, make the incision and place a tube, then reset for the next person in under a minute.

Who is it for?

EMS, flight, critical care and simulation programs, airway course instructors and anyone running scalpel-finger-bougie practice stations.

What airway sizes are included?

Four tracheas: Large, Medium, Small and Extra-small. Each sits on its own slide-in sled at the same depth under the skin, and snap clips plus a molded saddle hold it in place under traction.

What else do I need to run a station?

A #10 scalpel or training scalpel, a bougie, a 6.0 cuffed ET tube, membrane tape and a BVM. All are standard airway-kit items.

Can I ventilate through it?

Yes. The 15 mm BVM port takes a bag-valve-mask for airflow, or a test lung to confirm tube placement.

How big is it?

The base is 140 x 127 x 68 mm, about 175 mm long with the chin piece. It mounts to a board with 4 countersunk holes or sits on bumper feet.

Is it a medical device?

No. INCISA is an educational task trainer for training use only. Never use it on a person.
